Remuneration $234 000pa + Super & Benefits
Kiama Municipal Council is seeking an experienced and dynamicDirector Infrastructure & Operations to oversee essential infrastructure services and enhance liveability for the community. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will lead diverse operational areas, including engineering, resource recovery (waste), grants and capital project delivery with a team of 115 staff.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement infrastructure strategies that align with Council’s long-term vision.
Lead asset and capital project management initiatives to improve service efficiency and sustainability.
Strengthen financial and resource management within a cost-conscious environment.
Drive workforce development, leadership capability and organisational culture.
Enhance community engagement and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring responsive service delivery.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience in infrastructure services, preferably within local government. A strong understanding of asset management, financial stewardship and regulatory compliance is essential. Tertiary qualifications in engineering are required.
