The City of Gold Coast is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Manager Strategic Sourcing to lead its procurement evolution. This is a unique opportunity to shape sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships and deliver innovative procurement solutions for one of Australia’s most dynamic regions.
Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will lead a team of 29 professionals, driving best-practice procurement methodologies and fostering a high-performance culture. Your role will be pivotal in improving procurement governance, enhancing supplier collaboration and optimising sourcing strategies across goods, services, ICT and capital works.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategic procurement initiatives that drive efficiency, innovation and cost savings.
Develop supplier partnerships to enhance value-for-money outcomes.
Implement governance frameworks ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
Oversee early contractor involvement and contemporary contracting methodologies.
Manage and mentor a high-performing procurement team.
About You:
You are a proven leader in procurement with a track record of developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives within large, complex organisations. You have strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and stakeholder engagement abilities, enabling you to drive procurement transformation while ensuring regulatory compliance.
