Manager Projects and Capital Works | Edward River Council
Deniliquin, NSW

- Circa $130K + Super + Vehicle options
The Manager Projects and Capital Works is responsible for the management of a Project Management Office and implementation of the Project Management Framework within Edward River Council, ensuring the effective and on time, on budget delivery of Councils capital works projects.
Council is currently targeting the delivery of a major projects and capital works program of circa $30M.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of coordinated planning in projects, managing variations and ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
- Align the organisation's projects with the strategic and operational goals of the Council's Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Plan, Operational Plan and Budget.
- Build an industry-leading project management capability by developing and implementing project management controls
- Regularly evaluate the project management framework processes, policies and tools to ensure they are fit for purpose and seek ways to continually improve its efficiency.
Experience, Qualifications and Attributes
- Demonstrated project management skills including financial management, planning, scheduling, budget preparation and resource allocation.
- Proven experience in the supervision of staff and contractors combined with organisational leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a relevant discipline, combined with extensive experience in Managing major infrastructure projects.
