The City of Gold Coast is seeking a highly experienced professional to take on the pivotal role of Manager Capital Contracts. This is a rare opportunity to lead contract governance and superintendency services for one of Australia’s largest local governments, overseeing a diverse and complex infrastructure program.
As Manager Capital Contracts, you will lead a team of approximately 38 procurement professionals, ensuring best-practice contract administration, risk management and compliance across a portfolio valued between $800M – $1.1B. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will drive innovation, streamline contract processes and enhance supplier engagement to achieve strategic outcomes for the City.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.
Act as the Contract Superintendent, managing the full contract lifecycle across major infrastructure projects.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Strengthen supplier relationships to drive best-value procurement outcomes.
Implement innovative contract governance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a degree in business, engineering, law or procurement and extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure contracts. Your leadership skills, expertise in contract superintendency and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments will be crucial to your success.
