Capital Program Project Manager
Whitsunday Regional Council | Proserpine, Qld
$125K-$130k (base) + $18K Vehicle Allowance + 12% super

Whitsunday Regional Council (WRC) has a Capital Projects budget of circa $100 Million due to regional infrastructure development and planned improvements. This is an ideal time to join the WRC Capital Program and Network Planning team and bring your Project Management capabilities in the delivery of Capital Projects.
Working across a broad and varied range of exciting projects in Queensland’s spectacular Whitsunday region, the work will be both interesting, professionally challenging and provide opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provision of professional project management advice and information to external and internal stakeholders.
Project budgeting and reporting.
To work closely with the Asset Managers to refine the scope of works and get the best long-term result from the projects delivered
To provide management of consultants and contractors.
Produce, update and maintain a detailed critical path program for each project.
Arrange for the preparation of designs and technical specifications that meet Council's standards.
Ensure appropriate contract documents are prepared for each project.
Preparation and presentation of clearly structured and concise monthly progress.
Personal Attributes and Qualifications Required:
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or similar (diploma level or above).
Significant relevant project management experience.
Proven ability to work independently with a high level of strategic thinking, business acumen and problem-solving skills.
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Project or similar programs.
High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
