The City of Gold Coast is creating a modern, globally connected city in one of the fastest growing regions in Australia. The Mayor and Council are seeking an outstanding leader who has well established networks and reputation, strong commercial acumen and experience at the level demanded by a role of this scope and scale.
As the Chief Executive Officer, you will join the organisation at a pivotal moment - the Gold Coast will co-host the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032, and you will have a critical role in guiding major investment in public infrastructure and community development over the coming decade.
With a workforce of around 4,000 employees and a budget of $1.83 billion, you will drive the Council's strategic priorities, shaping the organisation's response to current and emerging issues.
The Mayor and Council are highly focused on creating a council organisation that offers its community exceptional value for money, has high standards of governance and is fast to respond to the opportunities of a rapidly growing and changing city. You will lead this vision by creating a lean and agile organisation that places customers at the centre of its strategy, planning and operations.
This is an unparalleled opportunity to lead the second largest local government authority in Australia and with your considerable leadership prowess transform the council, community and City of Gold Coast.
